On 18th October 2024, the International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science (ICCVS) at the University of Gdańsk will host the second episode of Science, Biotech, and Beyond of Season 2. This event, titled Science Popularization: Why and How to Do It, will take place in Room 320 at 10:00 am.

The featured speakers are Klaudia Tajthi and Magdalena Jaworska, both representing the Experyment Science Center in Gdynia. Klaudia Tajthi, a physicist and science popularizer, is known for organizing engaging workshops, science shows, and large-scale science events such as Researchers’ Night and science festivals. Magdalena Jaworska, a PR specialist, focuses on promoting science to the public and is involved in organizing major events at the Experyment Science Center. She is also actively engaged in the European Network of Youth Cancer Survivors, working to raise awareness about the needs of diverse social groups in cancer care.

This activity is part of the CANVAS project and the proposed training aims to foster the popularization of science, to make the dissemination work more effective and promotion more targeted.

The event is open to all, and we encourage everyone with an interest in science communication and public engagement to attend.
